We currently have a hen hatching out chicks last night we noticed one of the eggs was had a pip hole this morning though the hen was not on the nest there was no progress in the hatching and the egg was cold we assisted it (it did not bleed) now the chick is on a heating pad still not chirping what can we do to help him

After assisting they take a while to bounce back and get lively. Sometimes a day or so. As long as he is breathing and kept warm so he should be ok. It seems like when you assist sometimes they don't realize they've hatched and just sleep a lot. After a day or so he should perk up and then you'll need to make sure he's eating/drinking. If you can I would get a light on him too to make sure he is warm enough. Even just a 60 watt regular household bulb puts out heat if set up right. If you have a thermometer check how warm the air around him is to make sure he is not too cold.

you'll see his sides moving in and out if he's breathing. or his mouth opening up a little bit. 105 is actually too hot. you should put him at like 95
