I have 10 eggs hatching, all has been good until a day or two ago, when i went to check on the eggs i noticed one had and indent in it maybe a little smaller then a dime and then today that indention had gotten a lot bigger (see photo) they should hatch this Saturday and and i don't want to just throw it out after all this time, the membrane doesn't appear to be broken and i know the chick is still alive cause i can see the chick move inside of it, my hen can be clumsy and today i noticed she stepped right on it luckily she didn't do anymore damage, i need to know what i need to do so it can survive , i need advice asap!!!! thank you in advance

Do you have an incubator? If so, I think that egg needs to go in an incubator. It's been my experience that once they get damaged like that they will not survive under a broody.
@WVduckchick or maybe it was @Pyxis suggested taking the shell of a fresh egg and placing over the damaged part, Hopefully they can explain that better.

i don't have a incubator :(

The extra shell is a good idea, if possible.

Could you make something as an incubator, just for the final days? Even a deep dish/bowl covered with plastic wrap with some holes poked in the plastic? A towel in the bottom, with some wet sponges. Place a lamp over it, and try to get it around 99 degrees?

If you want to try to put something together, we can help along the way. I'm doubtful that it would survive under the broody being that crushed. :(

if you don't mind going over it in detail, i want to make sure i do everything correct what type/size bowl would work best, and where its kept in the house and what temperature water should for the sponges
