My daughter's pullet, (Grace), is about 3-4 months old. We bought her with three others who seem to be doing well. The second or third day we had her, noticed her eyes were surrounded by gnats, and had bubbles in them, as well as yellow-white-clear gunk. She has been like this for three days.
The gnats are gone or mostly gone now. Eating a little more now and drinking more now. More active. (Was very tired, lethargic?). She has been separated from the flock since I noticed this.
Idk what to do for her. I've been using cotton balls with water to clear out gunk, but it keeps coming back. I also have been putting a little sugar and acv in her water.
Does she need medicine?
Is this contagious?
She is so beautiful and will lay beautiful eggs and my daughter adores her, so I would love to save her.
