May be a normal thing, may be not. One of my roos (rescued from a slaughterhouse they said I could have 10 roos cuz they useless to the dumb old meat industry) actually sat and watched the eggs!

x2It's hard to say. I've had eggs quietly hatch with no sign of life until the chick started opening the shell. Others have wiggled and cheeped and went quiet and hatched. What I do when I'm unsure about an egg (usually for overdue eggs) is take the eggs and hold them against my ear and tap them softly with my fingernail. If there is a live chick in there it will tell you all about it! Just make sure you work quickly and don't let the eggs chill or the humidity in the incubator drop too much while you're busy. Fingers crossed!
There was movement in one of the egg since day 18 and few hours ago it stopped. I am really sad. I think its dead. Its day 21 complete and idk if its alive? do i still stand a chance. I am very sad it was my forst hatch ever.![]()
Nitin Kumar, how are yours doing?
I am really happy for your chick. I have the same case I guess. One of my eggs stopped wiggling after three days. Its day 21 complete now.Idk what to do. any chance that its alive. Air cell is intact.
I had 2 eggs it was day 20 grey chick hatched, his twin egg stopped peeping so i peeked in air cell could tell it that died, did egg topsy- no reason for it to be dead, not stuck to membrane, moist but not too moist, absorbed whole thing just never pipped, I think it just ran out of air.and it had a diff dad from above. chick
