I was getting them ready for the night and found my plymouth doing this!

I also found a soft egg outside in the hay, I dont know if its hers but what's wrong with my babe.

i hope the vid works for other people but she like opening her mouth kinda like a yawn but doing it multiple times and extending her neck with it. I don't really know how to explain it lol. kinda like when a dog is going to throw up but in this case, she doesn't throw up.

I was thinking maybe it's her crop. She might have eaten to fast or something idk. Do you know anybody that could help me? I'm worried about her especially with the egg thing.

How does her crop feel? Any unusual behavior? Any wounds?

The crop is the most likely place to start. But if that soft egg is hers, that's going to need looking at, also.

The soft egg, if it's hers, may be related to the crop disorder. Often, a shell-less egg isn't the only egg. Two eggs coming down the oviduct in the same 25 hour cycle almost always causes trouble because there isn't normally enough calcium for two eggs in the shell gland. The soft egg you saw may have caused a second egg to get stuck behind it. This can cause the crop to back up since the egg may be blocking things from moving down and out. This is just a guess. The two may not be related.

To be safe, I suggest giving this hen a calcium tablet tonight before you go to bed. Tums would be fine if that's all you have. But pop it into her beak right now. It will stimulate contractions and maybe by morning you'll see an egg under the perch and her crop will be back to normal, as well.
