Help, Dog eating chicken poop

My indoor dog is this tiny little chihuahua mix thing....when I come in from taking care of the chickens and kick my shoes by the back door she goes over, flips them over, and cleans them.

She actually gets excited when she knows I am going to the chickens!!! We had to put up a baby gate at the room where the cat boxes are because she likes to clean those, too!!! Dogs are NASTY creatures!!!

many dogs eat poop at one time or another.. in moderation it is not harmful..disgusting, but not harmful..

There is an enzyme in poop that aids or starts digestion.. I think it is called acidofolis (sp)..

Chicken poop is like candy to a dog. Actually, I think cat poop is their absolute favorite, but chicken poop is good too (at least they think it is). I would worry that something was wrong with a dog that didn't eat it. It's normal.

Ive' been told that dogs can get worms from eating poop. Keep the dogs and chickens wormed.
