Hey all- Thanks so much for the replies. Life gets a little crazy sometimes but we are back in business now! Looking at 9 chickens, 2 incubators, 5 ducklings and a goat cage looking for some sweet milk makers! The previous duck problem worked itself out- he did have a mate by the way. But he was rehomed happily with a couple females and no chickens to confuse him. I drove by recently and I can still see him happily ruling his world!
No don't just set him free as you have never trained him
for such a journey and he will be dinner real fast ......
Just separate him till summer time and find him a mate
or he will for sure kill of tour chickens .............
If you look at the photo you will see several different types of
chickens ducks geese and other birds ............
the trick is room and separation during the day .........
