He is 6 mos old, rather rough with 6 mo old chicken hens and causing stress and feather/neck trauma! What should I do??? Let him go in the local lake? Give him away?

I had a couple drakes do the same thing with some of my pullets. I don't think letting him go in the lake is a good idea though. I'm sure someone will know what to do. Try and post this in the index section. By the way

Maybe he needs a duck friend? My ducks don't stay with the chickens except at night... get put up at dusk and let out at dawn.
Hope I don't end up with that problem...

A drake can cause serious damage to a hen due to the anatomical differences. You need to separate him immediately if you haven't done so already. If you don't want him, then put him on Craigslist or try in the relevant "where am I" section here. Please don't release him into the wild. Good luck and

You might post this on the duck or the chicken behavior section!

But welcome!

I would seperate him. Don't let him go in the local lake though. Maybe rehome him if you can't seperate them but the lake not a good idea.
