Other people’s eggs after only a few months?? Oh no I could be headed for trouble!
Yes, complete strangers.
I might have almost put a few known NON fertile eggs in the bator once, recently.

Just for a couple of days though.

Yup. Let's see, I started with 9 chickens. Then got four drakes. Well I ordered 25 straight run to get the boys some girls... Then 25 turkeys. Then 25 Delawares... AND Then I got my bator...

ETA: Also ordered 150 (two batches of 75) CX for meat.
Wow
Your neighbors don’t mind? This is for all of you, you neighbors don’t care?

My closest neighbor is a 1/4 mile away and I actually ran my meat birds on her front lawn. They love the free eggs and liked the turkey and chickens. I should also say there was a means to my madness. When I finally got to TN permanently, I had been laid off for three months. I did the math and figured it would be cheaper to grow my own then to be grocery store dependent. I grew enough meat to feed a family of six for a year. Figured that was the max time I'd be out of work...

So what are your favorite duck breeds and why? I thought mallards because that green head is sooo pretty but also the ones I feed are very calm and mellow in comparison to the black bellies/ they fight a lot with anyone and anything! Also they sound like squeaky toys, I don’t mind them but. It my favorite.
