Help! duck egg day 29, no pipping - pic included... getting anxious

Ha ha I had 20 runner and buff eggs sent to me and all but 5 hatched pretty amazing since they came all he way from Idaho to NC

The batir gets here Tuesday and I’ll set it up and run it for a few days that when it’s readt when eggs get here!

You are right I should start a new thread! I didn’t go crazy but I had to order minimum of 20 eggs

So I got 6 Rouen
7 Cayuga
7 Pekin

I know it is unlikely all will hatch but I didn’t want to go nuts first time out

LOL! I only ordered six on ebay thinking they wouldn't all hatch with shipped eggs. So far I have 4 external pips and the other two look good. You may wind up with 20 ducks! LOL Let us know if you start another thread.

I thought I would start with just 18 eggs thinking that not all of them would hatch. I got. 12 out of those and now have 25 ducks. And have another 13 still incubating. I think I might have gone a little insane. But how can I resist a cute little duck face and webbers

No one can resist a duckling! That’s the problem they are too cute! After my egg experience - watching it grow a d hearing it talk to me, I had to try again!

Folks, I have a problem... My eggs go to lock down on Tuesday, but multiple times today my bator was chirping... Last year I found this at lock down:

Earlier this year I somehow managed to get a chicken egg in with the turkey eggs and the poor thing hatched out a week early and committed suicide on the turner. You can bet I'll be watching the eggs very closely tomorrow and have a hatcher tray ready.

You've got a lot of pips in that tray of eggs, is it possible that you miscounted hatch day? I'd lock them down right now; I count at least seven other pips in those eggs.

That was last year and I had some temp spikes (ac in the house failed) during the hatch. Yup lots of external pips and a good hatch, but surprising none the less. I don't have any pics of this hatch yet... But using a flashlight to check the eggs regularly. I should not be hearing chirping for another couple days. I put all of my hatches into a spreadsheet and calculate the days.
