They are cute! I love mallards. But maybe Muscovy next.... so many choices. IM pretty sure this is a whistling black belly - as they out number all the other du is out here 4-1. They would not have been my first choice but oh well! The mallards I feed are so mellow by comparison!

Lol - yeah and I'm trying to figure out how to add to my flock without getting killed by my mom. I decided if baby huey doesn't hatch, I'm going to try to find out if where I got fancy from is still around and has more. And this time try again with an incubator, so I can keep better track of it's progress.

Yes...Eggs hatch on their own time. Mommas do not make safe holes. Just keep watching the egg. If it really begins to wobble and Peeps then do a safe hole. Then it will take another 12 to 36 hours to zip out. Ducks are lazy hatchers..

I have towels draped around it. Necessity really is the mother of craptastic inventions!
I have a humidifier set up in there as well
