Help! duck egg day 29, no pipping - pic included... getting anxious

Pics
I am thinking that is he doesn't make a hole soon that I would make a safety hole.
I think.
It's a tough one.

I can tell you only my experience and this is not even related to a duck egg....it was a chicken egg.
I didn't make a safety hole...didn't even cross my mind. I waited and it died.
It had been way over 24 hours too...maybe 27 hours after the internal pip.

So yea.
I am thinking I would make a hole now if I were you.
A very very very careful small, TINY, hole near where you see his beak.

EXTREMELY careful.

If you crack the egg you may kill him.
No pressure.

So after seeing an internal pip and no external pip you would wait 48 hours before thinking about making a safety hole?
(I am just making sure I understand)

Yes!
As I said I have had ones externally pip 30 HOURS after INTERNALLY PIPPING.
I PERSONALLY wouldn’t interfere until after 30 hours After the internal pip

Did you ever pay attention to the time it first made an external pip...after the internal pip?

How long it took to make the external pip...not "hatch"...just external pip.

I used a thumb tack with my eggs (one being a button quail egg, I was so nervous) scratched an x gently in same spot over and over until it was light enough to push through. Also shined with a light before hand and marked a spot to make sure I knew where baby''s beak was.

24 hours after internally pipping, should they externally pip.
Ok so this egg has been internal pipped for over 24 hours and has NOT made an external pip.
Would you still wait and leave it be or would you make a safety hole?
