Help! Duck Egg!

read this just in case wait at least 2 days before assisting as far as zipping as for pipping I wait 8-24 hours before helping pip make sure he is in the air cell though

YAYYY! We have a beautiful little duckling! He ended up not having enough humidity while trying to zip so after 2 days of waiting i helped him out and there was no blood; hes looking healthy as can be and chirping away!

I grabbed some starter duck feed today at the store so once his umbilical cord dries and detaches from the egg i think he'll be able to eat! Thank you guys so much for all your help and advice on this crazy egg situation!
 
Looks like a yellow little pekin. It will grow very fast if it is. They are a super common meat duck. So ration the food so it doesn't develop health problems. They can grow too quickly and break their legs. So in about 25 days you 'll have a full grown duck :). They are very human personable. So I recommend getting a duck diaper and making a house pet out of it.

Omg. I only read this because I saw the last comment. I've heard of people trying this, but never heard the result. That's interesting.
 
I just have to ask. What do all you doubters have to say?

Also. How can you manage t hatch it tha t way when we can barely get ours to hatch in an incy ?
