Need immediate help! We didn't realize the air sac was supposed to be on top our ducks started external pipping upside down. After we realized they were upside down, we flipped them (maintaining a high humidity) what do you think should be our next step?? Will they make it??? They are still moving but not as much now!! Need help ASAP!!!

Sadly IF they hatch which they probably will, they might have a number of birth defects. :( but there is a chance they will hatch and end up just fine with a wobbly start.

The air cell is located in the fatter end of the egg and during hatch it grows very large and can take up a good amount of space. Do you have a pic of where the duck has pipped? If it is pipped in the pointy end then there is a good chance that it will hatch on it own and be perfectly healthy. In fact, most of my wrong-end pippers hatch out fine. But sometimes they are positioned so that they need help getting out of the egg. In that case you will need to assist the duckling to get out. How are the pips doing now? Any progress? Don't be scared, I've never had a wrong end pipper hatch with any issues. They have always been perfectly healthy!
