HELP! Duck swallowed 500 mg niacin pill

looking for any help as quickly as possible. I was feeding my ducks and had the bottle of niacin with me and while I was mixing the powder from a pill into their water, a pill fell out the bottle (I stupidly did not put the top back on the bottle for I leaned down to mix in the niacin) and one of my ducks ate it. It was a 500 mg pill and I know they are easily able to overdose on vitamins like adult humans. HELP! Am I able to get him to regurgitate somehow or is there something I can give him to “deactivate” the niacin???? Any advice would be helpful as I don’t want to lose any of my babies over a stupid mistake on my part.

Hopefully it will be like humans and any excess will expel in their feces . I cant really advise. Sorry

My understanding with the niacin is they just pass out the excess .... it’s B vitamins and when you pee bright yellow that’s the B vitamin pill ... but maybe other duck lovers know more ...

Or the time I went to give my daughter cough syrup at night and poured the whole bottle on her and the bed !!! It was purple too

The niacin will pass through what the body won’t use. Just make sure the duck has plenty of fresh water.

Oh ya. I guess it was this really expensive thing. haha Just saying, Ducks put anything and everything they can get in their gullets. Im sure your will be fine. Hope so anyway.
