Also, if she makes it, should I get more ducklings or something to keep her company. I really don't have all that much room for ducks (right now), but I don't want her to go into a depression from not having something there 24/7.

That's just her ear? That's a relief. I've never been able to see the ears on my ducklings before, and I only noticed it on one side so I thought she got injured.

Does the flavor of Gatorade matter? I've been giving her sugar water, is that enough or should I give that and Gatorade?

Any flavor, just not that G2 stuff. And when I say give Gatorade, I mean I give a drop or two from a syringe every 30-60 minutes. If you aren't comfortable giving drops, don't do it. The water in her brooder should be just plain water, not Gatorade.

Oh dear, I’m so sorry.

She was probably abandoned by her momma for some issue that the mom knew she wasn’t going to make it. They have great instincts. And sometimes they just fail to thrive. So don’t blame yourself, you tried!

I'm so sorry for your loss!! Poor thing!! And no, I would highly doubt she was contagious, but just to be safe, don't have any of the things that were in her cage hear them. Just wash the reusable things with hot water and vinegar, and dispose of the rest.
