Easter has been the best chicken and best friend to me since he hatched. He’s sweet, curious, and adventurous. But unfortunately, Easter badly fractured his knee and needs surgery. Yes, he is “just a chicken” but he is also the sweetest rooster you’ll ever meet.
Today, Easter tried to get out of the coop himself and injured his face. His comb is bleeding and the tip of his beak broke off. I’ve tried to accommodate the coop for him but it’s very hard to be there for him when he needs to get out and in.
Because of his injury, he’s lost lots of weight and has sores on his belly from dragging his body around the best he can. His tails feathers are broken and dirty.

After we got Easter his x-ray, they sent us home with pain meds and told us to think on it and see what we wanted to decide to do. I thought that there’s no hurt in trying to get enough funds to help him and if it doesn’t work, then there’s no hurt in trying.
It would mean the world to me and Easter if you could donate or share! Or if you have any advice, I’m all ears.
