So Elsa laid an egg this morning! But she is not sitting on it. I read she will lay one every other day for a while before she starts laying on them. Shoukd i get an incubator? And what kind?

So i should consume this one as most likely its not viable? I think its her first egg ever.Congratulations on getting an egg.
No, you don’t need an incubator. First, she should lay for at least a month (in many of our opinions) to get out the kinks of cycle, size and general quality. It just makes it more likely you’ll get healthy babies.
As for her sitting on the eggs, that’s only if she’s broody. When she’s ready, she will do it.
do you have a gander? if not, I would bother to get an incubator.
congrats on the egg!
