One of my quail eggs pipped early this morning... a small amount and since then the egg has been moving yet no more progress. The membrane in part of the surrounding the small pip looks dry yet humidity and everything stable. I know they can take up to 24 hours as it could be absorbing the last of the yolk but I’m wondering if I should be concerned about the hole as it’s so small - will it have enough air to breathe overnight? Any advice would be amazing, thanks!! (I have attached photo)

I would also like to mention it’s been vibrating quite a lot, is this a good thing?

Yep, that's all normal. It can breathe just fine even though it doesn't seem like it. It's absorbing it's yolk still. I would not be concerned yet. The membrane looks nice and moist and the rocking mean the baby is just moving around in there, preparing for the big hatch. Just sit on your hands, it looks totally fine. ;)

Thank you! Guess I can stop worrying so much, just got to play the waiting game now!
