I'm having eyes issues also, noticed it first yesterday and found another chick doing the same thing today, any ideas of what I should do? They have been keeping the eyes shut

Whatever you have is contagious! And hopefully not Mareks! Get them 2 out of the flock and start treating them asap! Also now you have to disinfect your coop and change all the bedding and litter so that it doesn't spread whatever it is. You need to know what your dealing with to treat it and its Really hard to say what's going on with out a pic, do you have one? Can you get one? And are any of your chickens showing any other signs of illness?

I read up on Mareks and it says usually loose bright green poop, and floppy legs, no appetite. Whatever you have does sound like some sort of infection though, it can't hurt to go get some terramyicin powder and start dosing. You can get it from rural king , tractor supply or coop and you just add it to Thier water. Still really hard to diagnose at this point but It Can't Hurt To try. And make sure you clean the coop out to hopefully stop the spread of whatever it is. Keep us posted!

Upon closer inspection one bird has red swollen eyes. The original one just keeps one eye closed and seems to be gasping for breath, my wife thinks it is overheating so we put a fan on them, getting meds in a few. When cleaning the coop do I just scrape it out and put pine chips down, or should I put some lime on it? Thanks for the help!

No lime, just change all the bedding and clean everything real good, swap out food and water dishes. but now that u mention the breathing it is defiantly an respitory infection, and I do belive terramyicin will treat that but just make sure first. Chickens eyes close when they have respitory infections.
