Help... failure to thrive?

Are these chicks from a hatchery, many have weak immune systems and have to be vaccinated making there immune system weaker as there dependant on vaccines. Healthy chicks are usually from a breeder who raises them in a natural setting and doesn't give vaccines so his flock is generally healthy. I feel the best way is to let your brood hens set there own eggs and raise them instead of using the incubator. They are stong and hardy as long as there not severely inbred. I prefer loose line breeding.

Yes, from a hatchery.

Whenever I get some chickens I hope to also add in a few silkie hens to do some brooding.

I will be getting the chickens locally though. At the very least to avoid the stress from shipping (and no shipping cost)

So I have 4 guineas with caked up bums and gave everyone 3-5 drops of lightly warmed water with corrid.

I rinsed the 4 bums off in the sink, dried them, and applied some A&D. They didn't really fight me anymore once I put the ointment on... probably felt nice by comparison. One of them is pretty scrawny but they're all eating and resting under the heat lamp.

So one of the "icky bum" keets died.

This is the "wasabi butt" the last one had too.

I spoke with a local vet but it'd be more expensive than just starting over with a new flock.

Also, the vet school that could do it for cheaper is right smack dab where the eclipse is going through so the highways are already packed and everything jacked up in price headed that way. :(

I noticed also that one of the other pasty bum ones has what looks like fluid in the abdomen and blood pooled under the skin in the vent area so I'm expecting at least that one to pass.

I see from some research that the green poo can mean they starved to death. Is there anything I can give them to help? They eat and eat but my guess is they aren't absorbing enough. I've given wet mashed feed, egg yolk, dry crumbles... I fear something like yogurt would exacerbate the diarrhea and dehydrate them more.

Some people recommend oregano chopped up for its antibacterial properties but would greens cause more upset?

I've not see wasabi poop before...That is weird...??

Are they not eating?
I'm assuming a complete feed would be the best thing for them but...
Is there a reason you only offer the egg yolk and not the entire egg?

Do they have access to grit?

Yes they have chick grit. They just haven't shown interest in the egg white so I have been giving that part to the dogs.

I see them pecking at feed and I've even blender'd the feed to a dust to make it easier for them to get.

I ferment crumble feed.
Have you tried soaking their feed in water for a while to see if they will eat that?

I'm going to blender some of the new feed and hardboil some more eggs. I offered mash before and they had no interest but I'll try again with the new food.

Why are you using the blender?
Are you buying pellets?
