Help... failure to thrive?

Thanks. Lesson learned...

Yeah I just watched that one have a seizure, picked him up, and his neck was so floppy I think he broke it mid-seizure...

I am so sorry you are having to go through this. Wish I had some information that could have helped. Just want you to know how much I admire you for all you have done for your birds

Thanks, it does help.

So update:

Turkeys are doing well, flying and practicing perching. They've stopped pecking at the shavings.

Down to 4 guineas. Will see how they continue to do. Going to continue my high dosing of corid for now for all the birds and gradually taper dosage down as the weeks go by.

So guinea 4 is dying as I type... since Saturday he hasn't grown any and has daily pasty butt. He grew a few wing feathers and hasn't grown since. I attempted to clean him tonight and he was slightly active for a bit then fell into convulsions.

The other 3 guineas are a good handful body-size wise. One of them does have a cataract in one eye so who knows if they can ever fully be free range without getting picked off.

I did hear from the hatchery's head of sales and he said that something isn't right. Who knows if I'll get refunded more or sent replacements but I doubt it.

Turkeys are growing like weeds. I'm going to have to attach a second brooder to their space for expansion soon.

.
So sorry ..Heart breaking
if you decide to replace them I would not go with the same kind of guineas...
I might ask for a refund and go with a different hatchery

They refunded the pearl guineas that all but one of died. Now down to 2 purple so they're not faring too much better. They're so much more skittish with less of them. At least they'll have the turkeys around so they aren't the only birds...

I told them I'd prefer a refund since I will never order from them again.

The head of sales guy was off put by the videos of the babies dying but I told him I've lost 3/4 of my order of birds (now it's 19 keets and 1 turkey dead out of 29). I watched them suffer and die and they wanted proof of them dying so photos of a dead pile and videos of them convulsing is what they got. Slightly morbid but it did get a response from them finally.

Should mention I had the body of one that died Friday and that one was a third larger than the one that just passed tonight... I think the coccidia just ruined some of their innards and they couldn't get past it.

So update again, the 6 turkeys are thriving.

Down to 2 purple guineas. They're super skittish and vocal wondering where the rest of their flock went to. The remaining pearl just stopped growing. He wasn't getting crowded out of food or heat or water, he just died.

So sorry you are down to 2 guineas. From what you say they seem to be doing well, really glad to hear that. How are the turkeys doing?
