HELP First Egg BLOODY attached to butt?!?

Sounds good don't even have any vegetable oil to put on it but do have some oyster shell grit that I can give her. So you are saying I should try to push the tissue back in a little bit? Have a carrier in the house that she can rest in
I thought you already had applied the soap. If not I would not use it. I'm not sure what complications it may have

Olive oil, canola oil, cooking oil, KY jelly, coconut oil, honey, Country Crock Shed Spread, any type of lubricant, but I don’t think the soap sounds like a good idea. Ask a neighbor—they may give some strange looks but who cares? You can stop laying eggs over several days by placing her in the dark for 16 hours every night, then letting her out for 8 hours a day to eat drink, and walk around.

Well so-so....just hopping back on for more advice.

I kept her inside last night and in the dark to try to prevent more eggs. And was going to put her outside for 8 hours only today. But other hens were picking at her vent so I brought her inside and she laid another egg anyway. That did not help. Prolapsed again and I poked it in again but now it's like she can't even poop it just dangles there and the other hens want to pick at it. And prolapse will not stay inside very swollen.

Any suggestions what I can do? I wipe away the poop but next poop just dangles again.

I've heard of using hemorrhoid cream. I've never done it. But I've heard that it can help. If someone smarter than me could chime in and say if I've been misled or if there's some secret to using it?

It looks like it will be a recurring problem. Hopefully only until she recovers. You can try something like preparation h, the medication in it will help reduce swelling and inflammation. It takes some time for the stretched and damaged tissues to heal. Keep returning the prolapse to where it belongs. If it continues and becomes chronic you may have to make a decision about quality of life, but I don't think you're there yet. She just needs time to heal. Think of it like a pulled muscle, she's been over stretched. Thise a marathon, not a sprint.

Yes believe so on pushing back in far enough. Will pick up some cream in town today.

Anything else Incan do besides 8hr ohtside and rest in low light/dark to prevent her from laying any more eggs for a week or so?

Crap. She has another blessed egg coming out today. What all do I need to do to ahut the egg laying down? Starve her a day?

Some say extra calcium is needed to help prevent prolapse so have kept her on layer feed plus oyster shell. Maybe put her on scratch feed u til she heals?

Have her in bathroom with only light on for the day right now. Could leave her light off in there even during day? Anything else.

Have to shut the laying down, any advise qppreciated.
