Help! first time hatching!

Tell me about it...hatch day is one of the most nerve-racking things in my life, and I've been doing this since I was a kid!

Oh totally!! I literally broke down when I heard that first little peep after the external pip. It just made it all so real and incredibly terrifying! So glad they're out and running around, the mess not so much, but I'll take it lol

I'm so happy! I can't wait to see pics of the lil' buggers

Most commercial hatcheries also aren't terribly concerned about whether or not all their birds make it out alive, either. Pretty sure they're all upright just to maximize the number of eggs they can cram onto one tray. Mind you I'm used to hatching silkies, and call ducks, neither of which are known for their hardiness. :p So that's just my advice to novice hatchers, like I said, it's a hotly debated topic.

You are SOOOO RIGHT>..

Ok I think I have posted this everywhere, hahahaha, I got a call and a newspaper wants to interview me on raising Farm Animals. They will be taken videos, pic and writing a story. Do I say YES or NO?

I'd be careful about letting anyone film. Lots of crazy people might not like the way you do it and it could come back and bit you in the rear.
