But what they don't tell you is that animal control and a vet were working with the owner to correct the problem. This Monica person allegedly showed up to buy them, but came with reporters and the sheriff instead.
We're also on a busy road, but our horses/ponies are in very good flesh (many are actually way too heavy), yet a month ago we caught someone tossing a bale of alfalfa hay over the fence for them.

Doesn't mean the guy isn't a neglectful owner. The SCPA is working with him to improve the horses' condition, that's great. But he's still guilty in the first place. I don't see the problem in calling him out on it, even if it was done in a rather crass manner.
