Help! first time hatching!

Wow those are some bold looking veins. I'm only on day 12, or I'd post a comparison pic. I'm curious to see what the gurus think. Is the air cell looking normal?

Oh sorry this isn't my egg... It was on a website and I just wanted to know if that seemed accurate or not. Because mine just a lot like it but the air cell is normal

I am on day 13 what breed do you Have and is the eggs in an incubator or under a duck? What does yours look like?

Mine are Swedish, and yes in an incubator. And this is my first set of duck eggs, so I have no idea what "normal" is haha! I can tell you that mine were super active when I candled yesterday morning! I commented they are definitely ducks because they are swimming like crazy lol

Hahaha!! Mine are Rouen Ducks and my TWO females are broody sitting on one nest of eight eggs! This is also my first clutch and did you happen to take pictures of yesterday's candling I would be interested in what they looked like!

That's really cool that they are sharing the motherly duties! Would seem like a good way to do it! Are they sisters?

I have one that I think may be a quitter and I plan to check it in the morning, so I'll get a pic of a good one then.

Ok yes they are sisters and I think but is because they do EVERYTHING together and the one Pebbles is the main mom that laid the eggs but I think the other misses the action

When do you plan to candle next? Because if you are possibly today or tomorrow could you take pictures?

Not the greatest pic, but I took it this morning. Final hours of day 12. I took a video too, but I haven't found a way to upload it yet.
Will see if I can add it. I suppose different types of ducks develop differently, but this is what mine looks like.

Oh good that is exactly what mine look like!! What is the black coloration? I knew it was Alive once I saw the veins though
