So she is outside? I would put some sort of waterproof barricade around the nest. When my ducks go broody on a nest outside I put a pet carrier around them. It is and old pet carrier with the bottom cut out so I can set it on top of her without disturbing her......

Oh ok; yeah she is outside my parents were okay with breeding her but NOT COMING INSIDE so we had a agreement so some type like what would your recommend?

Lucky!!! I had 10 calves die this year due to cold!!! I can only fit about 10 calves in my heated calf barn so when new calves were born the oldest of the ten HAD to go out into the big unheated barn and all of the last ten have not made it.... Luckily it is getting warmer.... We literally have 2 and a half feet of snow with an inch of ice on top of that from last weekend. My dog can stand on the ice, and she is 70 lbs! lol. That is why when you said that your duck was brooding outside I just couldn't even imagine it here! I am still surprised she is broody outside in Wisconsin.
