Help! first time hatching!

One of the chicken eggs that wasn't even cracked 20 min ago is hatching now. This may be a silly question but will they hatch alright if all the lights are off? Or do they need lift to hatch?

When it's finished hatching should I remove the shell? It's kinda tight in space in there. Should I move the sponge to the other side?

Omg congrats! I assume you still have quite a few pips, so I'd just leave it. Is there any way (vent hole or something) to stick anything in to move things around? I wrapped some masking tape around a coat hanger and also used bendy straws. Wondering if you can move the shell and maybe the sponge without opening the lid.

Hows humidity holding up?

I moved the shell. @chickoninc is helping me out too. He said don't move shell next time. Chick is really pretty. Silkie egg and buff O egg are working on it. It's only day 19 for all the chicken eggs

You can remove it any time technically, if you have the brooder ready. Most wait for them to dry and fluff up. BUT, you don't want to open the lid any more than is necessary. So I'd leave it until you have at least another one hatched. You don't want to dry out the pips by keeping opening the lid. Especially with your humidity running on the low side.
