Help! first time hatching!

I didn't ruin the other eggs' chances of life by opening it really fast to take the shell out and a little bit later to move an egg over, did I? I'm so worried.

Also, humidity is still at 60% give or take a wee bit. Oh, I'm so nervous

I don't know if I can even sleep! Hopefully by 3:30 the silkie egg will have hatched. It's talking to the chick.in case you didn't know this, I'm SO nervous! Especially with the low humidity and tight space

Ok good. I'm a first time hatcher, so that's why I'm freaking out about humidity because I've read a lot (probably too much for a firstie) about shrink wrapping, so I'm kind petrified about it happening. These are the reasons I had a Brinsea in the garage for 2 years without using it.

AHHH I completely understand now, LOL, Yeh shrink wrap can be scary however, sticky is 10 times scarier. At least with shrink wrap you can wet them and solve the problem, sticky, well that's all new ball game exspecially knowning that a sticky baby dies from suffication. AHHHHH From what I have read so far, your on the right track. Your hatching is doing absolutely great, if you were having problems, I would say OK, lets try and make changes. But when you don't have any problems going on, let them go, let them do there thing. You'll be happier that you did.

so my best advice if it's broke lets fix it, if its not leave it alone and Let the FUN BEGIN.. WOOOOO HOOOOO

It had settled down below 60 and she wanted it higher. If you recall, I said on a couple of occasions that as long as they were pipping, it was all good, but its her bator and eggs. I think all is ok for now, and I sure hope they start popping out soon.

AND that's GREAT, and the BEST advice you can give. Thank god we have excellent educators like you....

First timers, and don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to critisize anyone but they tend to do just that Freak out, next thing you know they have half the egg opened and this poor baby barely alive, then you get I don't know what happened. NOT saying that is the case here but I've see it way to many times.

When I came back in the room with the incubator I could here them peeping. I wonder if they're responding to the parakeet, who currently won't shut up
Could very well be and that's great that hes inspiring them. Some of us here don't have that luxury, so we get on You tube LOL, and play a video called "ducks hatching". LOL

Omg congrats! I assume you still have quite a few pips, so I'd just leave it. Is there any way (vent hole or something) to stick anything in to move things around? I wrapped some masking tape around a coat hanger and also used bendy straws. Wondering if you can move the shell and maybe the sponge without opening the lid.

Hows humidity holding up?
This is getting SOOO EXCITING NOW..
