LOL, I have hens that sit and others will come and join in, the ONLY problem I usually get with that is they shuffle the eggs around to hard and the air cell deattaches..My BO broody hatched 2 silkies this morning! I was worried they wouldn't hatch because she got off them so many times because other chickens wanted her nesting box. That just goes to show there's no need to worry if there's a power outage, or you forget to put the lid on the bator!
Well the other hens would make her leave the box. Once they laid their eggs, they would leave and the fertile eggs would just sit there till I put her back.LOL, I have hens that sit and others will come and join in, the ONLY problem I usually get with that is they shuffle the eggs around to hard and the air cell deattaches..
Awee good job, Yes, that's what my hens would do, they would lay there eggs some will move out and the broody hen will go in but some will just plant themselves there. very annoying. lolWell the other hens would make her leave the box.
