Ok, you are only on day 11 so you have plenty of time to even things out, so take a deep breath and relax. Yes, take the eggs out. It won't hurt them to go in an egg carton for a few minutes while you dry out the incubator. Then put them back in and yes, if you have a still air the temp should be 101-102 taken near the tops of the eggs. I would run dry and check your air cells for growth. If it looks like they are starting to grow too fast, wet a spong and place it in the bator. But most of all....relax.....![]()
AMY, I got one for you, since your title is Humidity Queen, LOL, Lets' see if you can figure this one out....how would you get the humidity down from 40% to 16%? NO water in the bator what so ever? Here's what I have tried:
TWO fans inside the bator
covering the bottom of the bator with Baking soda,
placing Chalk inside, I hear this helps with absorbing moist,
RICE
Placing the Bator inside a closed up closet with a Dehumidifier
THREE gages All reading 40%
Placing Water Crystal's inside (dried not soaked in water)
So tell me? What Other options do you have for me???? I have tried many many many things and may have forgotten some so don't be surprise if I reply to you "Done that"
you see because the humidity is at 40% my duck eggs are ending up VERY STICKY to the point where I can't save them. It does NOT affect my chicken eggs at all....
SO GIRL FIRE AWAY! Bator is a Hova-Bator.. hit me with your best shot. LOL
