I had some chicks shipped in order to get Mareks vaccinated ones, 1 of the 7 instantly seemed to have issues on arrival: weaker, one leg way out to side, could stand and walk but very wobbly. Leg seemed to just go out to the side more when trying to get comfortable under heat plate. Didn’t want to eat or drink at first but after encouragement electrolytes and sugar water by end of first day at home ( 3 days old ) was eating and drinking with the rest on its own and not wobbling hardly at all, walking almost normal able to mix with rest and eat off ground. Next day not so good, lots of standing under heater not eating or drinking, just not as alert. No pasty butt, pooing whitish clear fluid. No problems with belly button area. Dipped beak off and on and got in a tiny bit of nutro drench water, vitamins, electrolyte water, regular water and some egg yolk off side of beak (but all very, very tiny amounts). Went to sleep with rest of chicks (who are all doing fine) Worried about her surviving the night. If she makes it any more advise / things to try? Maybe she overdid it yesterday and whatever caused the leg to go out now causing pain? She would run back under the brooder when I’d set her down so she can walk.
