Hi

I just found around 4 holes by my chicken coop behind the trees in a leafy dark place of the garden where we don’t really go. What animal could of dug this home and are they dangerous to chickens? I also found some poo by there that was like a dog poo. I’m in the uk. Thanks

Is the hole really deep or would it be like something dug up a mole?
You got a picture of the poop?

With what looked like dog poop near by, I'm going to guess Fox, but then again....
Will be interesting to see what others have to say:)

Hi how will I set up a trail camera? I don’t think I have any cameras apart from a go pro which I’ll try to find.
If you don't have a trail/game camera, you would have to borrow or buy one. They are set off by detecting motion in front of them and then they start recording. You would aim it at the area you found the holes and it would record what is coming there and digging. Then you'd know.
Lots of people have game cameras set up around their coops to monitor predator activity. It may be something you want to invest in.

Anytime holes of that type show up near a chicken coop, rats have to be considered.

Since you are not a fan.......do you know someone brave enough to stick a fork in the ground to turn some dirt to see what boils out?

Or the trail camera will work too.
