Animals have a conscience. It isn't "God-given", not something special to our species. Some meats provide essential nutrients. It's easier to eat them than finding a plant-based alternative. Does that sound selfish, or lazy? If it does, remember that some people don't have access to the alternatives. Also, humans are omnivores. Yes, our ancestors ate more plants. But we evolved to eat different things. Look at our teeth. We are designed to eat both plants and meat.
Honey-water. It never fails hereShe’s doing good so far. My concern is she is not interested in drinking water at all so I have to help her out with it but she definitely eats when the food is in front of her. My other concern is it looks like she can’t really stand up for long. Only a few minutes then she falls.
Thanks! What would the ratios be?Honey-water. It never fails here
For ill-chickens: Hydrate, Warmth, Rest. (for recovery)
It kinda looks like it is but one of my chickens had one foot that looked like bumblefoot, but it never got swollen, and it went away by itselfIts probably not bumblefoot, but could tou check the pads of her feet just in case?
Yea it’s only a baby and it still chirpsWow. She really is only a baby. You're doing great! I agree that "she" might be He. If she is having leg issues already, might massage her legs to improve circulation, especially if she's down. Or use sports wrap for extra support on that leg (sprained?). Poor baby... she was likely injured from that fall...
