HELP! Found lethargic fluffed up chick!!! Acts very tired, found on it's side in coop. I have pics!

Everybody was fine yesterday and I noticed today that one of my chicks wasn't out and about. I went to the coop and at first I thought it was dead. However when I picked it up it peeped so that was a relief.

I fed it sugar water with some tetracycline by spoon earlier (5 min ago) and it pooped. It isn't red or anything like cocci poop but it is runny. Color of waste is brown with a white-yellow-ish part.

I DON'T have amprollium or chick starter. I also don't have sulmet. So if it is cocci I'm helpless to do much unless someone knows home remedy's in which case I would be awfully grateful. Note: I don't have any money, so heading to town for meds can't happen. I heard that vinegar could help, if it is somehow cocci, is this true?

Time is important, I don't wanna lose another chick, they're my pets, and I love them dearly!

UPDATE: Chick is acting 'out of it' it acts like it's trying to sit up and having trouble. Eyes open but they aren't looking at anything, they look odd. Please someone help?

Or just give them a bunch of powdered milk or plain yogurt, which others have had some success with.

I would definitely stop the antibiotic. Any antibiotic is rough on them to some extent, and it will have no effect on cocci as they are a protozoa, not a bacteria.

Thanks for your reply, but after five minutes of posting this thread, my chick went into spasms and died. I have no idea what happened. It was fast. I even think the poor thing was hallucinating before it went.

So sorry! The little ones are so cute, but so fragile. It's hard to lose one.
