We were actually thinking about tying up a chicken in the middle of the field where he sits, make a hidden place with a clear shot (either the bushes or trees) within 20 feet, then wait...
We cant really pin point where he will be or where he is coming from...Since there are 2 other KFC's other than mine, he wanders every where...Though when he runs away, he always goes to the same place...We're going to be out there again all day today, so maybe I'll get a lucky shot in!!
My boyfriend has the smaller (and bear sized!!) old spring traps...It wouldn't hurt the dog too much to stay in the house for a day or two, eh? If they really work, it would be worth the effort...Would baiting him with a caged chicken work, or would it need to be something else to get him to step on the trap?
