Adorable babies!I have 13 chicks out of 20 eggs, 2 needed assistance. Have you any tips for caring for them and making them friendly?
Chicks really shouldn't have many treats until they are 6 weeks of age, their chick feed is so important for growth and healthy immune systems. You can give them a tiny bit of plain scrambled eggs once a day, (eggs contain all the building blocks of life in them, ) and clean up what they don't consume in the brooder as it can spoil and grow bacteria in the heat. No grit required for eggs or chick feed. Once they reach 6 weeks you can add healthy things like chopped greens, broccoli slaw, cabbage, things of thus nature.
