Hi Guys,
I have a hen who lost a pretty good piece of skin on her neck to what I'm guessing was a raccoon. I washed it with saline, washed it with soap, then iodine, and sprayed it with BlueCoat. This happened yesterday. She's eating and drinking. I happened to go to the vet today for a different chicken (I was worried she had something contagious) and the vet mentioned neck injuries need to be sewn up because the jugular vein can dry out and rupture. There is no way I could do surgery on the chicken, but I wanted to know if I could put something on her neck to help it not dry out. Can chickens handle Neosporin?
Thanks in advance. Always our favorites!
