HELP! Heat stroke chicken very weak

The necropsy findings just came in today. She died of fatty liver disease. They only eat layer crumbles and the occasional vegetable scraps and run around the whole backyard. Not sure how this happened.

I am so sorry for your loss I would personally switch your chickens to all flock feed and supplement with oyster shells it is much better for them and gives them more protein layer feed only has the bare minimum of nutrients needed to sustain life. Where I live it is super hot too you may want to try giving them some frozen watermelon on especially hot days or some cold Mash to keep them hydrated and cool again I am so sorry for your loss
