This has happened to me before. One of my older roosters had his neck broke by a raccoon trying to grab him through the wire. The best we could do was to put him down. He couldn't breathe and was in too much pain for us to wait for a vet. If he is in a lot of pain put him down, as sad as that is. I hate putting down animals but it might be the best option

So sorry to hear of your rooster’s injury and loss. Is the playhouse very small? Could he have flown into something and injured himself?

It is a very large space for just a couple of bantams. I did remove the wyandottes as we needed the space for some young layers and from the roost one flew into the wall and was unharmed I think I'll move the location of it

I just went out to check my young birds and I have a bantam wyandotte rooster with I think a broken neck! He's lying on the ground and he can't move his neck when I pick him up it just rolls around it can do a 360 degree turn I don't know what to do can I help him or should I put him out of his misery?

Is the bird dehydrated...we had a pullet that had a noodle neck and gave her electrolytes and within a couple hours she was remarkably better and made a complete recovery...don't give up on your bird ..they have remarkable recovery capability

Is the bird dehydrated...we had a pullet that had a noodle neck and gave her electrolytes and within a couple hours she was remarkably better and made a complete recovery...don't give up on your bird ..they have remarkable recovery capability

The bird isn't dehydrated he died last night his neck swell up so much it burst and he bled out before I could get him to the vet
