OK this isn't your fault. He wouldn't have hatched anyway. You mainly see that fluid.. kinda looks like Karo syrup stuff, when your humidity is too high. Although I've had perfect hatches with a random egg like that. So.. ya know. It is what it is. He was probably backwards, that's why he never internally pipped. Yolk the size of a dime isn't that bad. He had another few hours to go, but he still hadn't gotten air from internally pipping yet.
