Help help :( panicking.

I look at it like this, if you don`t do something, they will die anyway. I hatched ALL my chicks yesterday and the early hours of today, and I could have probably saved one more if I hadn`t waited. I have 6 happy chirping babies telling me I did the right thing.

I am not saying that, although I would. Try the water thing first and see if that helps x

2 of the 3 have saddle shaped air cells, do you think this has anything to do with it ? I wil try the water think now what am I looking for exactly ?

I think that is why mine didn`t hatch by themselves Georg.

When you wet the membrane you are looking for blood vessels. If you do happen to make it bleed, just put a bit of cornflour on it or press gently with a piece if clean kitchen towel. You will know if it`s dead, there will be no movement at all.

Okay, you being very helpful thank you. So first I should try the water thing, and I need to look for ripples ? Then if that doesn't work I should poke a hole in the air cell ?

I would do that myself. My eggs were from 2 places and they all hatched less than 18 hours apart.

Okay, so did the float test, 1st egg didn't move, 2nd egg I know for a fact wiggled and another one I think wiggled. Now what do I do ? I'm scared they are stuck

Most people will tell you to leave them. I think I would make a hole to see if they are shrink wrapped.
