Help! Hen with possible sour crop and worms.

Just saw this poop from her. This is the first time in two days that there’s color other than white. Not sure what all that is? Are those worms? I see a tiny speck of blood, or intensinal lining...not sure.

Tape worms can segment off and look like tiny grains of rice in the poop.

How is she this morning? Hows the poop? You may need to repeat this dosage again today, Im not 100% sure but 1 dosage may not kill them off. They are tough little buggers.

When I checked on her first thing this morning, I noticed she pooped more during the night and it actually looked more like brown poop and not just the white stuff. I also noticed she passed this weird pod like poop that was like a solid, hard mass. It was bizarre. SO, I’m hoping all this means that stuff is starting to move through her. Her crop was still full, but did feel a little less than last night and definitely not any more full than yesterday morning and her breath doesn’t have that yeasty smell. She also seems much perkier/active today and is acting like she feels better than she did yesterday. Hopefully these are all good signs!

Sounds like she is feeling better! I am so happy!

Keep checking the poop for Tape segments over night. Until those are gone, she still has Tapes.

I will. I have noticed that she’s been drinking quite a bit.

Thanks! Me too! Now hopefully all the worms get out of her and her crop goes down.

I keep checking her poop and I didn’t see any segments this morning. So, will that dose I gave her try and rid them all at once, or should I expect to possibly see some within the next few days as well?
