when did you notice this, i dont think that this could just happen over night, how old is she, and what breed. can you get a full body photo from all angles?

She had been laying on a batch of eggs for a few days straight didn't think anything was wrong since a few of my hens just hatched babies. Today she was out of her box laying on the ground let me pick her right up I noticed an awful smell right away I rolled her over and saw this... I feel so awful for not getting to her sooner what do I do??? I have her in an Epsom bath right now and just gave her a bunch of olive oil

She's 4 or 5 here's a photo of her. Yeah not overnight she had been laying in her box thought she was going to hatch chicks had no idea this was going on

I think you're taking the right step. You may need to use a finger to feel around in there for an egg. I'm wondering if she is egg bound because it doesn't seem like it is a prolapse yet.... If there is a smell though that makes me deeply concerned infection has already set in
