A snow shovel or a rake make a fine defensive weapon for a mean Roo you don’t need to hurt him but you can keep him away from you with it when you are doing your work out there. Leave the flip flops in the house my good roosters would probably go after those

I use my broom and it works... but I want to love on my hens too! I want to pet them and feed them out of my hand. The broom scares them away... also last night going to close the door for the night he came out once I went to the coop and I just went back inside. Then I came out later and did it.
