keep in mind, pullets and hens can be just as loud as roosters. They just don't usually crow. The egg song can be very loud, especially if they all join in.

The brown one (Betty) has always been slightly bigger. I thought it was because she was going to be a rooster, so glad they aren’t as we can’t keep rosters where we live. It was very exciting to get our first egg yesterday, I was like a proud mother
