Hi all, ID help? The gray ones were called "Blue ??????" I cannot for the life of me remember what the 2nd word was. The brown ones were labeled "Brown" or "Red" "????" Same issue, forgot what. I just wanted to get them out of there and home asap. Massive overcrowding issue. :(
Any ideas? One of the "Blue ????" is significantly lighter than it's two companions. Supppsedly sexed females. I dont care if have a roo or 2, you know how Tractor Supply sexing is. I am just curious about the breeds and I am thinking 2 or getting close to 3 weeks old? They are calming down now, eating and drinking well.

I'm seeing what might be barring showing up on the blue guys, and since you said you're sure the name started with blue, I'm thinking possibly Blue Rocks. I know TSC is getting those in this year.

Your brown ones could be a couple different breeds. If you're sure the name had Red in it, I would think either Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire Red.

Thanks :) I know they had ISA Browns, and RIR on one sign, I don't think it was NH. Maybe RIR? ISA B chicks didn't look like this online so I think you are right. There was one more Brown or Red name on a sign as well. I have a horrible memory. I can't remember. The light grey "Blue" is stunning whatever he/she is. Light beak, the other Blues have dark beaks. I wonder if these are from the "Sapphire Assortment" offered by the hatchery they use? I tried to look on line. It'll be fun to watch them feather out. I feel like a moron, I thought the breeds were marked on the box. Just said "6 chicks $1".

Could be! It would help to narrow down if you knew what hatchery they came from, but the trouble is most TSCs get chicks from a few different hatcheries. Mine, for example, gets birds from Hoover, Townline, Privett, Freedom Ranger, and a couple others.

Definitely not ISA Browns - those are red sex links, and the chicks would look a bit different. If you think RIR was labeled on the bin, then that's probably what they are.

These gals (guys?) Are from Hoover I think. The website offered online options for Hoover. Thats where I came across the blue "sapphire assortment" but these guys were just labeled blue something or anothers. Everyone is having a good night in the small tub. They were SO horribly packed into the TSC displays, I wanted to keep them close for the 1st day. Going into a larger 4 x 2 1/2 ft tub we usually use tomorrow.
