Help! i can't find that "Perfect breed"!

I love my Wyandottes. The Silver Laced variety is the most developed variety for showing but they come in a bunch of varieties. My Wys are sweet and good natured, even the roos are pleasant and don't crow too much. They have rose combs that do good in the cold weather. I got my starting stock from McMurray hatchery and I am happy with their personalities. I'm now working on getting higher quality stock to breed a better Wy for myself in the blue laced red variety. I like my mixed color flock just to watch as they wander the yard, it's like turning your yard into an "aquarium" of exotic colored birds. Very lovely to just sit, relax, and enjoy the view. Wyandottes are good layers of brown eggs and are known as a moderately broody breed, although I have yet to see one of my wys go broody, maybe because they are hatchery birds.

ETA: if you really want to go on breed choice overload check out feathersite.com Every breed you ever might want to imagine is on there. Look over the breeds, see what you like then ask here on BYC to see which would be good for your wants and needs.
