Help!!! I don't know what to do with my last living duck egg

He could be working on getting into position. Or because it is a still air incubator it might have been in a cool spot so it delayed him a few days. If you’re between 20-24 days you can stop turning now safely. Ducks are slow. But he would have between 4 and 8 more days to go.

I would let it alone to finish growing. Just from what I can see on the air cell he needs a little bit of time yet. He might be upside down but many a duckling can hatch from that. But he doesn’t look ready yet from your pictures.

Update I still see no movement in the egg not top or bottom. Egg has no smell tho. However it is getting grayish spots starting to develop on the shell in one spot there are about 3 the largest being at the narrow part of egg where I once saw movement but now nothing... What are this spots? Are they normal?

Any updates? The gray spots may be bruises if the duckling is malpositioned.
Still no movement anywhere in the egg. It doesn't smell but the gray spots have grown all over the egg. To the point I where they almost have covered about half the egg no air cell growth at all. I see blood in the egg around the bird but no vessels in the egg sac looks like they used to be but they have turned clear? I can see what looks like clear veins coming down from the sac... I think I have lost him. Like I said NO MOVEMENT AT ALL

just an update after Canda ling and candle ng for 4 days now, and seeing no movement in the egg, I followed the advice of a breeder that I know locally and they told me to put a small hole in the very top of the egg, but not to bust the membrane, and to look down in the egg and see if I saw any movement from that point, I put a small hole in the top of the egg and the duck was most definitely dead. his head was right side up by the air sale, it seemed like he hadn't tucked it from his wing, however, I didn't notice a visible egg tooth if that would make any difference at all, and his yoke sac was not absorbed, but not bloody at all, and there was absolutely no blood in the egg whatsoever, all of the blood in the egg had been absorbed. what could have gone wrong

PLEASE SHINe light for me on what do have happened. My ducks haven't laid another clutch yet but when they do I want to try again. Any advise on anything noticeable I could have different

The bruise spots sometimes indicate that they tried to pip away from the air cell, or nicked the internal membrane and leaked fluid between the 2 membranes.

My initial thoughts are if the incubator is still air, 99.5 is too low for the temp. Still air should be closer to 101-102. 99.5 is for circulated air.

Humidity at 40-60% for the initial days would be too high for me, and if the air cells weren't large enough, I'd suggest @Amber1229 read the Red link in my signature block below on humidity. (if on mobile, turn your phone sideways to see signature blocks)

Also, young layers eggs aren't really the best to incubate. Many do hatch, but once they are laying for a few weeks, they should be better. So hopefully the next set will be the charm!
