Help! I need to identify this waterfowl!

Grebes have lobed feet, too. Is it tail-less? There is mention of them ranging from Alaska to southern Canada and Nove Scotia. Also north and south US.

I wonder if you could find some tiny feeder fish, or maybe some crickets??? They are primarily aquatic, since their legs are so far back on their bodies...
